You seem to have bad luck with getting rear-ended just like I do with getting side-swiped.

Junkyard parts are really all I can afford right now until whatever legal action I'll have to take gets finished. Hopefully I can find a fender and bumper that aren't smashed up or rusted to hell.

I know, I think I need to have the body shop find and remove the big red target on my truck that I can't seem to see! I'm in the same boat as far as what I can afford, I'd love a new bumper, but I just don't have the money to buy it. Doing it the way I'm going to will end up only costing about $150ish or so since I'll do all the work and the body shop is just painting me a bumper that I bring in to him, and I can definitely afford that. The junkyards here usually have some decent Durangos, but all of them have had some serious damage, seems these beasts ten to stay on the road until they get totaled, very tough trucks with a good following, everyone I know with one loves it.

I'm already reserved in the fact that I am not going to get rid of this truck no matter what breaks. I'm going to keep this truck and make it a project truck when I get my next car so it will always be around. I hope you find the parts you need to get your truck back on the road!

I agree, loved these trucks since they were new, always wanted one and now I have one. I like it enough that I plan on keeping it as long as I can, so it will be with me for a few decades at the very least...

Since USAA is being useless I went ahead and paid the shop to align the front end so that I could bring it home. I'm going to have my insurance company come look at it, hopefully tomorrow, and just have them fix it.

I'm also going to try and get a set of R/T wheels since the front driver's side wheel got hit.

The Nationwide adjuster just left. She was very nice and said that she put the higher priced of the parts she found on the estimate so that we wouldn't end up getting stuck if we couldn't find the cheaper parts anymore. She looked over everything and said that USAA was a bunch of *** clowns for trying to total it since it's only body damage and since my car is in, as she said, showroom condition. She estimated the damage repairs at $2400 and handed me a pre-paid visa card for $1900 ($500 deductible taken out) on the spot. I'm going to be taking it to the shop either later today or Monday morning, and they're going to give me a rental again. The shop said that they should have it fixed by Thursday, but Friday at the latest.

Amen, lol! Glad it all worked out for you! We have Allstate, and they've been great, we just don't want to add yet another repair on the record to risk my premium going up, which as of et it hasn't. And the $150-200 repair won't meet the deductible anyway, so I'm just going to pay for it myself.
