Default 2003 Durangos and theft

Hello,

Can anybody shed light on 2003 Durangos (namely SLT/SLT+) and how likely and/or easilu they are to be stolen? Also, what about certain parts, like rims, seats etc? Any experience, good or bad will be appreciated...thanks

Crime is everywhere, but you hardly hear anyone stealing these.

If i was a criminal (witch i am not) i would be looking for something new, fast and gas friendly, not a 10 y/o gas gusslin SUV... just my 2 cents...

As much as we here love these, I think these are really getting to be too old for what they usually go out looking for. Unless you have an amazing and expensive sound system, or valuables in the truck they're after. Plus most, if not all 2003 models will have the chip keys (option started on the 2001 year), making it fairly impossible to just hot-wire the truck and take off, so the average joyrider that might have grabbed one and gone on a ride (if they even do that???), and a more sophisticated car thief will want something newer.

Appreciate the feedback thus far. How about the part at the center if the rim bearing the dodge logo or the bolts? I often see Durangos missing all or some of them.

LMAO!

If I was going to go to jail for up to 4 years I would be sealing a Lambo!
