I thought it was driving and shifting fine but when the transmission man drove it he said that there was a slight delay shifting into overdrive and that one of the codes was for that very reason. that was before he took the pan off and saw the milkshake. but now the wife is deadset on trading it off and getting something else so go figure.

Sounds to me like the transmission guy is trying to make money off of you. I'd get another opinion if I were you.

yeah the fluid has been drained twice already. the transmission man drained and put fresh in and the body shop drained it a second time because they said that the transmission man put too much fluid in. they were going to drain it and put fresh back in to the full mark on the dipstick.

This is the reason I do all my own work and don't let anyone else touch it. Then you know your not being screwed over or paying extra for stuff. Also the info online now days would have been great when I was growing up and learning mechanics and trouble shooting. I wish you the best of luck and hope you get it fixed and get to keep the D
