Default installing stereo 1999 slt

hey everyone, I am installing a pioneer deh 150mp stereo in my 1999 dodge Durango slt. we have everything hooked up besides the blue and white wire on the pioneer stereo. we are not sure what to hook this up to? and where is a good spot to put the ground? and the stereo turns on but doesn't play sound in any of the speakers? does the blue and white wire have anything to do with this? any help is appreciated. let me know if I need to add details!

What does the stereo manual say the blue/white wire is used for? I don't remember. The closest ground I could find on mine was to the same ground as the stock infinity amp I think. I know grounds are supposed to be short, but it's the best I could do, and it works fine. I also heard of running a ground to the same ground as cigarette lighter, but I'm not sure on that one.

The stock stereo grounds through the antenna, so it might be tough to monkey rig that to work.

After a quick search, I believe blue/white is the power antenna/external amp turn on wire. Don't quote me on this, but it rings a bell from my install.

I recently installed a Pioneer DEH-X8500BS into my 98 D. I used a OEM amp and for now left the OEM speakers in as they don't sound half bad.

i never took mine out to see if they where OEM i just assumed they are because it had the OEM radio in it. they could very well be aftermarket ones.
