99 Durango 5.2 liter V8
Had this problem every now and then but now its gotten worse and does it every time you take foot off gas pedal, whole truck looses power and shuts down, it will start back up but looses power again after you take foot off gas pedal. Any insight?? thanks

 

Took it and checked codes and nothing showed up. Got some seafoam and ran in gas tank to clean anything out-not sure what to do from here.

 

Are you by chance having excessive heat or high temps in your area? like mid 80's or 90's? Do you have a dark colored truck?

I ask these two questions because your issue kinda sounds like the overheated PCM issues that are known with the darker color 99's in high heat. only difference is usually that leads to a total shutdown.. your could try putting a bag of ice on the PCM and driving it and seeing if that helps...

Other than that i would say you have loose or dirty connection or ground somewhere.....
