Default I need some help deciding!

I am looking to get my Durango back, my old one was a 2000 SLT, 5.9L V8. I need some help deciding what year and trim to get. According to Edmunds, each year has it's own problems, but I thought I would come here for some opinions by people who drive Durangos. Should I even get another Durango or is there a better Truck/SUV out there.

Well, funny you should ask.... Currently we are kind sorta looking for a second D for the wife to drive.. Here in our area the early 1st gens (98-00) are starting to become hard to come by. Most are the later 1st gens (01-03) with the updated interior and electronic 4x4. Really its all about preference because there all good trucks IF they where taken care of. Personally i am trying to find a good deal on a 2003 because that was the first year for the rear disc brakes.

Strange that they;d be hard to come by, I see so many on the road here, all kinds of 1st gens. Even seen one with V6 magnum decals on it!

That sure is rare. From the information I've seen there were less than 100 1st gen V6s made.

I've only seen pics of one v6 a friend of a friend had that got rear ended. They took the motor out and destroyed the body .
Back on subject a 2003 slt+ with rear disc brakes would be optimal. I prefer the 5.9l and 3.92 gears.
