'03 Durango Shakes When Driven Long

Hello,
Why would a 2003 Dodge Durango SLT start shaking as it sits in traffic after being driven for more than one hour altogether in the day? By shaking I mean as if an old car is about to shut off and starts shaking.
It's not too fierce in this case and happens only once or twice when braking in slow-moving traffic. It doesn't result in shutting off.
It's mid 20 degrees Celsius these days but the gauges don't indicate overheating and there's nothing otherwise wrong with the vehicle.
Any diagnoses? Thanks in advance
