Default Need help!!! Fan clutch nut is stuck

Need to remove the fan and clutch on a 1999 Durango 5.9L engine so I can replace the water pump. It absolutely will not budge. We have tried every wrench possible, breaker bars, WD-40, rust ease, butane torch.... It's to the point now that the nut is starting to deform. What options do I have? Can I get the fan and water pump out altogether and just replace them all?

Are you sure the threads on the nut are not left handed?

I had a similar problem and it was because of reverse threaded bolts/nuts.

Finally got it. We ended up just putting a LOT more heat on it, way more than before and it finally broke.

Yeah, it's reversed and you just need to beast it. Don't put too much heat but sounds like you got it.

I just ditched it. But my truck came with a factory e-fan so I had no desire to replace the clutch.
