01 4.7 4x4 with the 45rfe trans. 3 months into ownership she dropped a valve seat onto piston 5 ruining the head and cam. Installed new heads all the way around after learning this can be a common problem with the 4.7. 6 months later the transmission fails to engage any gear. Had a new transmission built by the guy that does my work truck tranmissions, installed it. Ran smooth shifted great no problems for about a week. Then the truck went into limp, got home. Noticed 2 chaffed wires on trans sesnor plug. Cut in new ones sealed it up and went on my way for about another week. Now the truck with operate in 1st and 2nd gear. reverse as well. After about 5 minutes of driving check engine light comes on, and the truck will no longer operate in any gear. Clear the codes, my drivetrain returns, again for about 5 minutes then back to the check engine light no gear ordeal. Really confused because it seems like a mechanical problem minus the fact that things clear up after I erase the codes. Codes thrown are as follows... P1732 P0733 P0734 P0736 P1734 P1784. I will be tracing the wires from the trans to the tcm tomorrow but any additional input would be greatly appreciated.
