2000 durango pcm??
Yesterday my 2000 durango 4.7l lost power. #3 cyl. Coil was melting. I installed new plugs and a new ign coil and restarted the engine. A minute later the same coil started over heating. I was told that a faulty pcm would do this. Does that sound legit? I picked up a used pcm from a pull-it yard (same part #s) but now it starts up , runs good for a few seconds then shuts down. Any thoughts?

The PCM have to be programed by the dealer to your VIN #.. You cant just pull one from a junk yard and put it in yours, that is why it starts up and then shuts down.
