I have. A 01 durango 4.7 which needs a motor ..i have a parts durango which is a 2000 durango 4.7 that im going to put the motor in my 01.do i need to swap anything from motor to motor some ppl say i need. To swap tone wheel an flywheel? Is this true

 

To an extent. Is the 01 a 3 or 4 plug computer? Same question goes for the 2000, 3 or 4 plug computer? 3 plug style motors can be swapped with 3 plug motors, as can 4 plug to 4 plug, but if you want to swap a 3 plug motor to a 4 plug motor, or vice versa, modification to the motor will need to be done to get it to work.

 

you should be fine, as stated aboce the PCM plug count needs to match, but they didnt start putting 4 plug units into the durango until 02 so both of yours should be 3 plug
