Default 5.2 turbo questions

I have a 99 Durango 4wd 5.2 with 196,000 in it. I've been doing a lot of reading on these forums about turbos and I think I've read every thread about it. I don't like the idea of a rear mount so I'd like to do one under the hood where the stock air box would be if I still had it. I don't want to do anything crazy yet, about 4psi boost using a universal kit, I want that extra power but keep it as a daily driver and still have A/C. So how necessary is an intercooler with 4psi? And what fuel system upgrades would I need to do? And for timing retard under boost I would need the MSD BTM-6 correct or am I at a low enough boost that my timing is fine?I do have headers, k&n intake, HS 1.7's, free flowing exhaust and I'm running the stock tune (Well its a Superchips but close enough). My question is should I get and SCT tune for my current mods and get 30# injectors to compensate for the boost? I have trans temp, oil temp, and volt gauges in the vehicle already and would get a wideband, fuel pressure, and boost gauges with the turbo.

The wideband I'm getting has a data logger so would I just use that with Megasquirt? And I don't know much about Megasquirt, I looked on their site but there wasn't much there. Could someone educate me on it please?

Anybody have any input? I found a thread on of of these dodge forums where somebody explained everything that needed to be done at multiple different boost levels. I was stupid and didn't bookmark it.

I had always heard that it's not good to throw forced induction on a motor that's got that many miles on it, and that you should do a rebuild first.
