Question ABS Brake Line Change & Bleeding of the Lines?

Hi everyone,

In the process of changing one of my rusted passenger side brake lines and in the process of removing the line seemy sprung leak. The leak is in one of the lines running to the ABS system. Image is attached.

I know how to bleed each brake line using the mighty vac system. Bleed from furthest wheel from the master cylinder first etc.

What effect will changing the line that runs from the junction to the ABS system have on the ABS system? How do you bleed the ABS system?

Did you mean the Mityvac Brake Bleeding system. A quick google search shows a bunch of YouTube videos - here's one:

Yes - you should always bleed from the farthest wheel first - with Left Hand Drive cars that's the Right Rear. In the UK, Australia, Japan etc that would be the Left Rear.

However, if you have replaced a brake line then I would do that one first to get rid of the air in the system before going to the farthest and then doing all four.

There have also been some posts in the past about getting air in the ABS valve. If I remember right, basicaly you can get the air out of the lines, calipers and cylenders, but if you get air in the ABS valve, you are looking at taking it to a dealer to remove the air. A search on the subject should bring it up.
