Default Broken Coil Screw

Well, I was changing the spark plugs today and after I was done changing #2, I put the coil pack back in and started to tighten the nut back on that holds the coil in place. As I just about had it snug, the darn thing broke! It broke off flush with the top of the coil, so there's nothing to grab onto.

I'm looking for some input on the best and easiest way to fix this. To replace this bolt, do I need to take the manafold off?......Any help would be appreciated.

On a side note: I am sure glad I replaced the plugs. All eight were wore down so far that the electrode was flush with the plastic.

I'm not familiar with the 4.7, but can you just take the coil pack off if the screw head broke off?

Yes, the only thing holding the coil pack in is the tip of the spark plug and gravity......lol

So with the coil off can't you get to the shaft of the screw with some pliers or am I missing something here?

Probably........ I didn't have any small enough or a deep well socket at the time. Or the time to look into it further before I had to get to work. Now that i'm at work I'm trying to find out what to do when I get home and what size replacement screw I will need.
