diferential fluid question
i have a durango 2001 4.7 so im changing my diff fluid for the first time (since i got it) fuild is not black or milky, but it smell strong and really really bad like garlic and burnt (i don't think this is normal) i read that 75-90 is for normal use and higher for towing, i never tow anything, but my truck gets full almost all the time and sometimes even more (7-11 passengers kids and adult) so is 75w-90 fine? or should i use 85-140 for this kind of work, ah only have rear diff
i tried to find a good brand with no luck, cant find mobil or amsoil, went to dealer and its crazy expensive, so keep looking and found royal purple max gear and cheaper and its says it doesn't need lsd additive , is this a good one? or should i go for the expensive mopar (a found way cheaper ones, but i think they are chinese)
