When did I say I was doing it for cool? For me its practical. Reduced heat, saves my interior from drying out and fade as well as reducing glare from the dash on a sunny day and headlights from on coming traffic at night. The privacy (which is very minimal at best) is a bonus. -Again, it's 70%. Your privacy glass on the back of your durango (from factory) is much darker than that, around 30%. And I don't seem to have much issue looking inside the cab of the vehicle (other Durangos) with 30% privacy glass. Do you?

Again. Practical vs abusive.

And it appears much darker in photos than in person. But regardless its there.

Cheers.

Oh that's right. I'm glad you reminded me of that. Thanks for setting me straight.

You're missing the basic point. People post stuff like that here because they are proud of what they accomplished, and maybe are suggesting that others may like to do the same. Once you throw it out to the public though, not everyone may agree it's a good idea.

That's why I apologized, saying it's just me (which I really meant). I really do think 90% of the things people do to vehicles is not that sensible. I have to learn to back off and not post when I see something in my 90%.

I do recommend tinting your windshield. There are many positive benefits and safety reasons along side doing so. Just don’t be stupid with it. And don’t have that mindset that tint = black. That clearly is not the case.
