I haven't had any issues with mine either. If I'm not mistaken the 318 and 360 were designed for 180° thermostats, but got changed to 190° for emissions reasons.

Thank you. Keeping the hitch, I need it for work. I will be getting back into hauling again.

That's sad, I'll have to make a trip up there one day.

The only ill effect is not as warm of a heater, like an old truck. Thing is that 5.9L motor likes to crack between the intake and exhaust valves because the motor was never made to operate at 195 all day long (federal emissions), it was an old 1960's design for operating temps of 180 consistently.

You will do yourself a favor.

You may as well wait until they finish it all, right now there's not all that much done.

I hate intermittent issues. My starter wouldn't do anything this morning (tired neutral, fussing with the keyfob, and all the usual stuff), so I made my brother drive us across town in his car. So we're heading back an hour or two later and I jokingly tell him it'll probably start when I get back. Sure enough it started without me doing a damn thing to it.

Yeah, I didn't even get a chance to try anything like that, so I don't know if it's actually the starter itself or something between the key and the starter. It just sat there for an hour or two until I came back and it worked fine.
