Man this storm is kicking Georgia in the back side huh!. I was down in GA a few years back and had to head up to MD and when I left GA I heard a weather system alert for Tn all the way to MD. By the time I got to the VA line there was a truck evry couple miles sitting in the median just waiting on the snow flakes. That's what GA should done instead of sitting down and saying " The NWS said it was going to miss us " LOL

Its amazing how the south can't handle any snow whatsoever. With the weather patterns changing like this I think they should invest in some snow removal equipment. I don't know about you guys but it usually take 8" within 12hrs here to shut down stuff. I remember being out in a freak storm last April that dumped 22" in about 24hrs of really wet heavy snow. That one did shut down everything but was all clear in 24hrs for places to open back up. I'd imagine its all about what your experience is with the white stuff.

That's just the way it goes. Here, we could get quite a bit before services get affected. You take an hour drive over the mountain pass to Seattle, and they get shut down from flurries. They just are not prepared to deal with it, because they rarely get it. It's hard to justify all the $$ it takes for the snow removal equipment when you MIGHT get snow once a year, if that.

Yeah. Some cities just aren't ready.

Same thing with people being used to the cold. Or some use to the heat.

Others rather be city folk. Some rather be country folk.

Take them out of their element and it takes time to adjust. And that adjustment doesn't happen over night.

Reminds me of an old saying. Say what you will about the South, but no one retires and moves North.

pfff not my grandparents.

They just bought their second beach home in Oregon (homes at litterally 4hr away from each other). Their prior vacation home was in Colorado (only there 4 weeks out of the year)

I was on the mexico border for 2.5yr.. I will admit the winters there were quite nice.

My dad was cleaning out his garage and found this old liquor bottle. He got it as a gift from someone because he had an indy 500 replica mustang 5.0 back in the day (it was a badass car!). I put this liquor bottle (it’s empty) in my man cave.
