Thanks for the info guys. I had the alternator tested at a local parts store, not sure what DVOM is. They said it spit out 15 Volts right away and did not need to be replaced.
Last night while driving home from work, yes it started up after sitting in -19 C weather all day( can't be the battery i am thinking), the gauge dropped to 0 volts within a minute of running, and the gauges and trip computer dropped out. It started back firing, and the rpm's climbed high while at idle, shifting also became rough. I removed the PCM and brought it in the house to warm it up, and I'll plug it in when I get home today to see if there is any change. Once again thanks for your input.

Update, Replaced the PCM and luckily had a buddy that works for the stealership bring the programmer over to flash it. Checked the battery temp sensor at (room temp) to make sure it read 9-11 ohms and all was good. It appears the electronic voltage regulator in the PCM was bad, however, the problem was still there. Took the alternator back to Part Source to have it checked again, and it wouldn't even energize. So $300.00 later, with a lot of good advice, and the Durango is alive again.

Thanks again to everyone for the help
