Smile changing oil and filter

hi there I have 2 questions


I have 1998 dodge Durango 5.2 4x4 with 190k


how many quarts of oil do I use to change


and whats the best way to get the oil filter out


is there a thread to changing the oil

You'll need right under 5 quarts (4.7 I believe), so get the big 5 quart jug and you'll be fine. I just use a glove with grips on it to get the filter on and off. I usually get the filter out through the passenger's side wheelwell, but you can get it from beneath too. Be ready for some oil to come out from the filter at you if you're doing it from underneath though.

how bout spark plugs the best ones for the Durango and plug wires

Stick with champion copper cores, none of those fancy ones. I have bosch wires that I got at autozone a couple years ago and they work fine. Someone was mentioning some other good ones the other day, but I forgot what they were.

Make sure you blown out the shields around the spark plugs (I think the rango has them). They collect dirt and crap, which will proceed to fall into the motor as you pull out the plugs.
