I bought my truck and it already had a magnaflow muffler on it and I got about 3 holes in my tail pipe and 1/4 of it fell off already and it still sounds good an mean deff sounds meaner then that flowmaster did in that vid no offence to that guy or anything but if I was gonna change it id deff put a glasspack in it if I wanted a louder or rougher sound.

I've got the Series 40 Flowmaster on my 4.7. It's not overly loud, just sounds real good. Wife barely noticed. :-) You won't be disappointed. When you open it up, it sounds deep and impressive.

thanks for the input guys. it sat for 3 years in this lil old ladys yard and the price was right for 2400. its got a 24 gallon tank. with no ac running and driving very conservative in the city im lucky to go 240 miles before the light comes on and the highway running 70 with no ac im lucky to go 345. gonna start by changing out the cat and going to a highflow magana flow muffler. any other ideas would be helpful also.

240 and your light comes on?

I always fill up at 250 with about 17 gallons.. May want to check a few things..

Highway at 71 I get roughly 480 miles with about 22 gallons.

Such as?

I get average of about 14 or so on my 4.7L SXT - not often does the Trip OD get over 250 before the dash light comes on.

Drive about 45 miles per day mixed about evenly with city/highway.

Did the DD come with varying fuel tanks depending on trim levels?

When I had my Durango, I was getting 12 MPG average. That was with 90% driving 45-65 MPH.

I have a 4.7 SXT and my build sheet reads that I have 6 extra gallons of fuel, but came with a 25 gallon tank. I also average about 14-16 mpg in mixed driving, filling up anywhere from 295 - 340 on the trip mileage readout. Just depends on your foot.
