The other day it was a little tough to shift from park, kinda like there was a little something in the way but it went and operated fine. Today it almost wouldn't go out of park at all. i turned it off, and on a few times and eventually it shifted. Once it was out of park, i could shift easily in all gears and even back to park and out of park. Once i turned it off..... it was stuck again. Then, i started the truck and jiggled the key around and it shifted smoothly. Any ideas? would a new ignition switch fix it or is the Park lockout separate from the ignition switch?

awsome, thank you. i am glad it should be a free fix. Now to fix my 4WD before the snow comes. Thank you again
