Unhappy 1998 Dodge Durango SLT 4X4 5.2L Transfer case blown!

Hello all!
Im in need of some help please!
I have a 1998 Dodge Durango 4X4 SLT 5.2 (310) v8

I need a transfer case for my durango. I not sure the exact one I need .. But on the 4 wheel drive shifter on the floor it says,, 2-4H -N -4L
due to the bad chiicago weather and 200k miles on it , it finally cut loose. I dont know if the transfer case should come with a plug or harness to show up by my gauge cluster which 4 wheel drive gear im in or not? the 8th of the VIN is a Y if that helps.

Any and all help would be very very appreciated!
God bless.
Chris

You can get them on rock auto, but they ain't cheap. I'd suggest getting one from the local junkyard and possibly rebuilding it depending on the condition of it.

You should have a NV231. To make sure get under the truck and look on the back side 3/4 the way from the top should be a round tag with the model number.

Are you sure it's the case or could it be an output lock ring? What is it doing?
