Default Shocks and Exhaust recommendations

I need to replace my rear shocks. 2002 SLT. And I want an exhaust system with some muscle sound. Recommendations appreciated, thank you. Oh and I have the 4.7L Engine.

Get your build sheet first on the shocks. I ordered new ones for mine before I got the build sheet and have to buy new ones now. Turns out mine came with HD shocks. I can tell the difference in the ride.

Magnaflow for the exhaust, you won't be disappointed.

You will get a lot of opinions on exhaust. I recommend going to the manufactures websites or YouTube and search there for sound files.

Personally I went with a flowmaster 40 series.

As for shocks, I can only tell you what I went with....KYB Monomax - Cheaper through Amazon.
KYB 565078 MonoMax Heavy Duty Monotube Shock : Amazon.com : Automotive KYB 565078 MonoMax Heavy Duty Monotube Shock : Amazon.com : Automotive
- Note that my DD has the Torsion Key / Shackle lift installed. There is a "stock" height version as well.

I checked out reviews on the KYB shocks before buying and they rated well. http://www.shockwarehouse.com/index.cfm

Bilsteins and Monroes are other options. What do you have on there now? Stock?

I have not heard good things about Rancho shocks in recent years. Several decades ago they were good, but not so much any more from what I hear and read.

Shocks are a personal preference.

I run Monroe reflex shocks. They handle well

Also don't replace just the rears. Stupid when people do that ****.

Do it right and do both frond and rears. Your fronts probably need more attention anyway.

I don't have anything on shocks, but I know that a Thrush Glasspack sounds damn good on the 4.7L.

Here's a quick video I made of my Magnaflow exhaust earlier. I just used my phone to record it, so it didn't quite capture the lower tones to it.
