Default allwheel transfer case

i took out the front drive shaft to change u-joint and what the round joint at the t-case. put the skid plate back on so that she could go a friends baby shower. truck would go anywhere (forward and/or reverse). and would still roll while in park.

my guess. t-case is shot. am i wrong?

Nothing's wrong with it at all. You removed the front driveshaft, and since the transfer case is essentially an open differential in AWD mode, all the torque is just spinning the yoke for the front driveshaft since it has no resistance on it. If you want it to move without the front driveshaft you need to put the transfer case in lock mode. That should be 4wd hi, or whatever it says on the ****, just not 4lo. Keep in mind it's only ok to be in lock on the road since the front driveshaft is removed.
