P0340 No Cam Signal At PCM
Hopefully you removed the negative battery cable before you installed the cam sensor, if not when you plug it in it can fry it. Also you could have a bad one, so I would say take it back and replace it again this time remove the negative battery cable and secure it. Also I see that the head was rebuilt. If the shop or you did not reinstall the correct cam lobes and installed 32 tooth instead of 16 tooth, or visa verse, it would not start. Your PCM should have 3 plugs which would conclude you have a 16 tooth system. If it has 4 plugs then it is a 32 tooth system. The cam lobes and fly wheel need to be the same type system for the PMC to run it....aka....16 tooth cam lobes with 16 tooth fly wheel with 16 tooth PCM. |

How about keeping your posts in one thread instead of multiple threads for the same issues. Keeps the confusion down and you are more likely to get help instead of clogging up the forum with several threads for the same issues.

Wasnt sure hows it works |
The cams and flywheel are correct. Is there anything Else that could cause a no signal i did remove the negative side of battery
|
Try the PCM connections.
|
If the cams weren't aligned at TDC cylinder they could be off causing the code. Check the wiring and harnesses.

If you're sure you have the timing correct, and correct parts, then for some reason the system isn't reading the perimeters. Do a PCM reset and try again. You might need to take it in and put it on the OBD II to read it.
To reset; Remove the negative terminal of your battery (10mm wrench). Turn on your head lights. Turn your ignition key to START and hold it there for about 15 seconds. Turn your ignition key to OFF and remove it. Turn off headlights. Connect the negative terminal of your battery. Start but do not hit the throttle. Idle for about 10/15 seconds then turn off. Restart the truck and drive as usual. It will take at least 12 starts and 48 miles to fully retune the computer. Hard Codes leave a shadow for 40 full cold starts. |

Well you could have a shop read it and figure out what's not reading or timed correctly. Either way good luck.
