Default New cars are sweet!

So after owning my new Fusion for 10 months now and racking up a whopping 2k miles on this new ride...

I decided to go into the owners manual and check out what I need to do maint. wise.

My car is designed to tell me when I need to change my oil based on different aspects of the operation of the vehicle - NOT the mileage.

Along with a few other things.. like the motor running on 4cyl when the engine is over heating and it will automatically shut off to prevent over-heating...

...needless to say, I was very surprised. Very rare I read about “issues” with the Fusion dating back to 2007ish. Some guys have 200k miles on their fusions and no major issues.

Now if I can just get some more road time!

yup almost all new cars have this, some actually have a setting in the dash that indicates what percentage of oil life is estimated to remain
