I have yet to go to eichey's...a bunch of my VW friends find stuff there though. This was out at Greble's in Myerstown (part of the ez-pull group). Not nearly as steep as their yard in New Ringgold though.

never heard of Greble's... i have always got all my stuff out of eichey's.. Sadly they have a pretty good inventory of 1st gen Durangos and 2nd gen Dakotas.. They are also literally less then 10 min drive from my house as well..

Remember to adjust the front and rear bands on your transmission whilst the pan is dropped. Should have no less than 1/4" or a little more as you pull down on the band then tighten them up. Front adjustment is on the side, rear is inside. Use only ATF+4 transmission fluid, I will tell you to use Valvoline ATF+4 Fully Synthetic.

Check the front end to see if the upper ball joints have been replaced under the recall. If they are held on my rivets they are still factory.

Change out the transfer case ATF+4 fluid, and change out the axel lubricants. Fully Synthetic 75W-90.

OP.. please don’t be as stupidly complicated as the bold part of the quoted text.

Just call dodge and ask them if the recall has been performed on your vehicle. Because I’d HOPE someone replaced the balljoints years and many miles ago. If they did, no idea if dodge did it, or the previous owner - given all the road gunk accumulated over the years just save yourself the trouble and sit on the phone.

+1. You really don't wanna mess with Hydra. Also calling the dealer doesn't tell you how the rest of the front end looks, if you know what you are looking for at least, if not that's why we are here.

Not at all. Just being honest. If a Bitch gets upset then it needs to chill out.

We all have our views. Nothing wrong with mine, unless you don't agree then Bummer

The first part is a little, how do I put this, disrespectful?
The second part, pretty darn rational to me. Personally I don't trust others (except a few friends that are very good at what they do) to work on my vehicle. That's the reasoning behind most of our methods is to do it yourself so you know its done right or if its wrong no one else to blame.
I don't see this going anywhere productive since we successfully thread jacked it. So I'm leaving this thread for a bit, give it back to the OP for re-direction.

Your right, it's not rocket science to call a dealer and as about any recall work that might or has been completed, however again you forget the basics of mechanics, which is why you continually get yourself into the positions you do like getting stuck in parking lots.....ROTFLMFAO

Simply relying on a dealer computer that constantly goes down running on old software, well it doesn't take a genus to figure out that information can become damaged or misplaced, all the while leaving mechanical components in dire need of replacement or worse yet. All it takes is to look at it, or have someone shake the suspension down, again basic mechanics.

I didn't bring up all the Recall's because they aren't as detrimental as losing a ball joint whilst driving down the road potentially causing an accident or death. Besides there I already but a recall thread here to help members deal with those issues.

So let me see, having to resort to using foul language to describe members, ignorant rants, misinformation, lack of knowledge, and non courteous demeanor well that's just priceless, and it really shows your age not to mention your immaturity and your ignorance to the whole community which consists of the elderly to children. Why not just find your way out of there the same way you found it. Thanks again for showing your true colors!

And we wonder why people don't stay long here, if all I saw the ignorance like this on a new to me forum I wouldn't leave any information either.

Now can we get back on topic?
