Default How to fix this fitting leak ???

Have a coolant leak on the 2000 Durango heater hose fitting going into the water pump.
Is this a press fit? Just pull it out and tap it in? What kind of sealant to use?
Thanks, Robert.

There's an o ring aroind that tube where it goes in. I had a hell of a time getting it not to leak when I replaced the tube there. Buy a bag of o rings at Lowe's.

Disconnect the upper heater hose and plug the end or hold it high and zip tie. You disconnect the bolt on the arm holding it and pull straight up and out. Plug the hole with a small cloth that you can also use as a rag to ensure the new connection is clean. Replace the O-Ring from you local store. Place just a bit of axle grease on the newly installed O-ring and a little on your finger and rub on the inside of the water pump discharge then fit them together and tighten.

One time I had to use just a little Ultra Copper sealant on the O-ring area then let it sit for a day before I buttoned it back up to seal it.
