Default Computer test??

Is there a way to test the computer to see if it is bad? Was having issues with my '98, 5.2 44RE. was getting trans codes. replaced everything electrical in the trans and still getting the 753 code. Trans was "stuck" in third gear. Can shift to 1 and 2 with shifter, but when in d only 3rd. had other issues, so replaced trans with remanned one. Still getting the 753 code. Seems like it is a computer problem, can i get the computer tested??

Did you replace the trans, relay behind the battery? Or temporary swap with a friend to determine if it is flawed.

Anyone with any input would be greatly helpful!

im not aware of any way to test the computer itself except to swap it out w/ a known good unit and see if the issues go away..
