Default 2001 Durango ticking

I have a 2001 Durango with the 4.7 and 117k. I don't drive this a lot (wifes car) but happened to take it out today and noticed a ticking noise. It is very hard to hear from the top of the engine but still noticeable, But where I really could hear it was in the drivers side wheel well. I couldn't pin point if it was front or back of the motor but no noise on the passenger side wheel well. What do you think is my issue?

It could be as simple as a broken exhaust manifold bolt.

Worst case it is a lifter sticking.

I would tend to vote manifold bolt from experience.

I wouldn't worry. It's prolly coming from the evap sensor behind the battery. Put your hand on it and you can feel it clicking. Mine does it too.

I've got at least one broken bolt on each side on my exhaust manifolds. Makes a very annoying tick.

I was thinking manifold too but cant see any of the bolts. Wouldn't a lifter tick be more noticeable under the hood (top of engine) vs wheel well?

The fender liner or heat shield may be in your way?

Like I said, I would be more inclined for manifold bolt that lifter tick based on experience, but sound travels everywhere in open space.
