Default Got a face lift this weekend..

Never really cared much for aftermarket stuff but, so far i am impressed. we will see how long these hold up as the same ones with the LED's in started falling after a month. I also repaired the common rust on the top of the front bumper.

Nice look -

I cannot tell if yours are similar to those I have had on mine for a couple of years (Feb 2012).

All is well for the most part (considering they are aftermarket). Some slight "yellow" to the lens, but not the "fog" you get on stock lenses. They yellow could either be attributed to heat from the bulbs or UV fade.

As for bulbs, I use stock Sylvania instead of the higher priced Silverstar (i think that is the name of the higher end) due to listed longevity (aka short).

UV from the sun is what turns them yellow. Try some clear UV blocking film from ebay. My lights still look as good as new over a year later.

*** Update ***

A little over one year later and the lights i got are trash. All the plastic that holds the adjustment screws was cracked and the lens itself where warping with the stock bulbs. Plus, with them being one piece i could never get them to line up right.

So i decided it was time for a second facelift for the old girl. This time i went with a pair of 2 piece (same as stock) in all clear. Also added a bull bar with two 100w offroad lights.

The Pic is in my signature....

I agree i like them alot... also like the bull bar more than i thought i would. I got a set of HID ballasts with bulbs from a friend who just bought a 2000 D so i might try them out and see if i like them any better.
