Default 99 durango 5.2 4x4 trans dipstick issues

My friends 99 durango 5.2 4x4 has a transmission dipstick that has no markings to check fill level. the end of the dipstick kinda looks like it has been snipped off. I've heard this is common practice if someone cant get the dipstick to seat all the way into the tube. There is no little holes, no full hot, full cold markings or anything. has to be the wrong dipstick. I was wondering if anyone knows how long the dipstick should be for this transmission, or a part number so i can get a new one... I think its a 44re trans.

I've never heard of that before. That link old_school posted is what you'll need though.
