Default ABS and shifting problems related?

My 2002 Durango (4x4, 4.7L, automatic) developed a shifting problem several weeks ago...well documented in another thread, but a brief summary is it shifts completely normal with the overdrive off. With the overdrive on, it will shift normally until you reach 35mph, and then it repeatedly tries to downshift into passing gear. The transmission fluid and filter were changed, all three speed sensors have been changed (2 on the transmission, 1 on the rear axle), and the TPS has been replaced. Since the sensor change, it quits when you shift into or out of park from reverse or drive, but immediately starts back up. When I start it the ABS and Brake lights stay lit for a few seconds. Today, I realized I have no anti-lock brakes. I had to stomp hard on the brakes when a car pulled out in front of me, and there was no "push back" or pulsing feeling from the brake peddle, and the brakes locked up and sent me for a little slide.

My question is, could all of this be related? Or has my normally reliable durango just decided to fall apart all at once?

one question for you, do you have 4 wheel abs or rear wheel only? if you only have rear wheel then you may not feel the pedal shaking when the abs kicks in (this reported by people who have this set up)

Yeah I've never felt anything from the rear abs in my pedal. If you've only got great abs you'll just have to practice threshold braking.
