Transmission issue
I have a 01 4.7 AWD, my transmission is going and still drives, but my question is, if i find another durango same model different engine, would i be able to swap them over? say.... a 5.7 slt to a 4.7 slt?
The 5.7L never came in the 1st Gen, it didn't start till the 2nd Gen in 2004 so to answer your question NO. With the 4.7L your current transmission is the only one that will work without doing a motor swap as well..
