Hopefully someone can help me resolve this issue. I couldn't find any answers on other threads. My 2000 Durango 5.9 has developed a very frustrating issue. I can drive the truck with no issues until the check engine light comes on and when I shut it off and go to start it again it just turns over and will not start. Last time it took it sitting overnight to start and the check engine light cleared. I have already replaced the crank sensor as I was told it could be. What else could it be? Last time it did this it did not pull any codes.

 

Check for fuel and spark when it doesn't want to start. See if it will start with the gas held down some too.

 

If you can get the code read that would be the best instead of just throwing money at it.
