Default Home made cabin filter

going to be testing this cabin filter i made from a regular cheap home filter. i put it in the rear ac outward vents since i couldn't get the incoming ac vents off. it doesn't seem to be blocking the air flow.

Looks interesting. I'm pretty sure you have to release the rear a/c intake vent from the other side of the headliner too.

Great concept but you will lose alot of airflow and may cause your coil to freeze up due to poor air flow.

the rear units have their own expansion valve, i believe it's under the passenger side floor, supposed to keep them from doing that. besides if it doesn't freeze up when the fan is off it isn't going to now.

i'm still going to try to put it on the intake vent to keep the evaporator cleaner.

This might be useful if you could filter the air before it went through the exchange to protect it, but I don't see what this will help. Do you have a problem with the air quality inside your D? I guess if I was worried about the pollution in the air I would be driving a Prius.

There was a user from another dodge forum site that showed how he created homemade filter from outside to truly filter out air coming into the cabin.

I am going this route for true air filtration.
