2002 Durango wont shift and P0700
Hey guys, I searched and didn't find my exact problem, but think the consensus with this is to take it to a dealer to read the TCM codes.
With that said, I have two concerning codes:
P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction
P0605 Internal control module ROM error (module ID defined by SAE1972)
(not sure if they are related, or if the P0605 has anything to do with my shifting problem)
This started a few weeks ago and it was intermittent at first and now is 100% of the time.
The truck drives and the transmission does not slip. I can manually select all gears except 1st. I can drive in reverse, 3rd, and second, however the transmission will NOT shift on its own. If I select "D", I get 3rd gear and that's it. If I select "2", I get 2nd gear and that's it. If I select "1" I get 2nd gear again. No 1st gear or overdrive.
Also, other symptoms are: the transmission "buzzes" when in park and neutral and shifting in and out of drive and reverse is a very hard clunk.
Trans fluid and filter were replaced 27k ago and look full and clean on the stick. Is it worth sticking a new (used) TCM in it? Is it worth attempting a new filter again? Is there anything else (besides unplugging and replugging the TCM) you guys might suggest that I try before I take it to a dealer/transmission shop?
Thanks in advance!

First, you must describe your Durango more specifically - 4.7, 5.9 and 454rfe or 46re transmission? If we talking about 5.9 and 46re transmission i can give you some tips.
