Default Power Windows (Driver side)

I did a search in the forum regarding this issue, and found some matches but nothing quite like my story. I hope some of you have some ideas.

A few weeks ago, my driver window and passenger driver's side window stopped working (at the same time as far as I can tell). They don't work when you control them from the driver's panel or (for the backseat window) from the backseat panel. The left side of the car windows work fine from both panels.

It seems so rare that I could blow both motors at the same time, so I'm wondering if there is something else? Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

Also, it's a 1998.

To me it sounds like a short. Try to put a new switch in the drivers side front, for this is the one that is used mainly.[sm=confused06.gif]

Sometime my durango windows quit the windows and the locks I took off the driver panel and removed the plug for the window controls. cleaned it with compressed air and put some electic grease in there put it back together and they all work fine again.
