Assembly Carrier Issues?
Hi im new to this site and I have recently purchased a 2000 Dodge Durango born in March of 2000 I recieved a build sheet from Chrysler which stated this. I have a horrible growling noise in the front end of the suv. I replaced the rotors, calipers and brake pads on the front. I have also bought axles, and hubs for it. I recently purchased a front assembly carrier through a well respected salvage yard i double checked the ratio which chrysler states is a 3.55 and found the part to be completely compatible, until it arrived! The driver side of the carrier had a female insert which in my durango has to male splines for the axles. Why would it say it's compatible when obviously it isn't. Do you think it is the front carrier making the growling noise?
Thanks for your imput we got it figured out when the parts guys pulled my part they left the axle hub shaft in the axle itself so i have to remove my old one and put it into my new one, extra hassle but what can you do!
