My radio turns off while im driving but when i am at stand still is stays on. Any one a solution to this problem

 

What year? What radio package? Stock or aftermarket? Define 'turns off', no sound? ... no power/lights?

 

20002 Dodge Durango slt it turns off on the sound and goes to clock when i press the power on button it comes on then turns if is idle it will stay on longer it is stock model radio. I just bought it last two weeks ago. I also have a check engine light on. On website that i checked it said all Durango models from 2000-2003 you could put the key in the ignition and turn it to on (don't start) then turn on, off ,0n ,off then on. It would give the code in the odometer

 

Do the key sequence and give us the code.

Also do you have controls on your steering wheel?
