Default Y pipe issue.

Hello,
.Anyone know the best way to get a rusted Y pipe out at the catalytic converter. I been soaking it with pb blaster and have cutting off all but 6 inch of the Y pipe to the converter.I just want to put another stock Y pipe on. But can't seem to get the last 6 inch from the conveter.

Assuming the Y goes into the converter, not on the outside (if I recall), I'd cut the thing 1/4" shy of flush at the converter and using vice-grips on that 1/4", twist the crap out of the stub, folding it into the center of the circle. It shouldn't take much.

+1 And if it's over then just dremel a cut on the sleeve then roll it off.
