2000 5.9L rough idle
hey guys, im a noob here . i know my way around a engine, my issue is this , really rough when cold then when it reaches operating temp its smoother but still rough... ive cleaned the IAC and the throttle body, replaced the plugs , cap, wires, rotor and pcv hose/valve too. im looking into vac leaks now any help is much appreciated

Did you physically remove the throttle body or just clean it on the truck? If you haven't removed it then do so.
On the 5.9L look at the vacuum hose going into the TB front and center. You might have the old style??? Anyway they like to crack were the pre-fab line goes into the MAP sensor. There is a short piece of rubber hose which could be the issue.
Also check fuel pressure on the fuel rail, should be around 50 psi at idle and WOT.
Could be a cracked hose or vacuum reservoir as well.
Make sure you are using the cheap Champion Copper Plugs gapped at .040
Also could check the output of the coil and see if it is a nice blue spark or a weak white'ish.
Could also be a pre-cat O2 sensor, go to www.rockauto.com and order them in OEM plug in style, Desno or NGK.
Try a different gas station, and also a better gas octane.

Id be willing to bet its the O2 sensor. Seems to be the thing that most people seem to forget about.
