You can try banging on the tank and see if that makes it work. If so that would further confirm the pump being the problem.

If the relay and fuel pumps checks out okay, try resetting the pcm by unplugging the positive power battery cable and let it sit for about 30 min to an hour. I have seen a possible faulty pcm that can exhibit this type of behavior. If the reset does not resolve the issue, may have to check to see if the pcm is bad.

I did try banging on the tank , actually hoping it would make it work . At least I would be pretty sure then it was the pump and could get on with it . I tried wiggling the wires going to the PCM , And I did try to reset the PCM ( was unhooked overnight ) and turned key on for about 30 - 45 seconds before I hooked battery. back up and tried it . One thing I have not tried and I think it was suggested somewhere was make sure there is a good clean connection on the battery cables on the battery . I will do that tomorrow just to rule that out . I don't want to buy a PCM and that not fix it just like I don`t want to drop the tank and replace the pump and have that not fix it . But that I guess is the chance you take when you are not a professional with $10,000 worth of tools and test equipment . Luckily there are people , like those on here , who make suggestions on things it might be , to try to help you . Believe me , I do appreciate any help given . We `ll see what tomorrow brings when I clean the battery post .

Well cleaned the battery posts but no change so I crawled under it and started taking the hoses loose and dropped the tank (1/2 FULL ) . Removed fuel and cleaned up tank and removed pump assembly . Called auto store and they had a Delphi in stock . One hour later I drove it on a short test drive and it ran great . Thanks for advice . I just had to quit hoping someone would say it was something easy and get after it .
