Help!!!
I have a 2000 Dodge Durango 4.7 L. The voltage when starting goes up and then back down. The alternator was tested "Good" and I replaced the PCM, due to a bad voltage regulator. The PCM was flashed before installing. Can anyone help?
Please add a little more detail regarding the exact issue besides "goes up and then back down". Voltage on what? Are you reading with a voltmeter or looking at the dash gauge? How high does it do up and how low does it do back down?
Edit: asking a question one time is enough. You have resurrected 10-15 year old threads asking to same question over and over. Please stick to only this one thrad and provide more information as requested.

To answer your question:Voltage on Dash gauge goes to 14 v and after running for 2 or 3 min it than goes to zero.I was told it could be a bad voltage regulator in the PCM from the factory. So, I now have a new one.
Also, The Dodge dealer shared with me there may be a security issue with flashing the PCM. I Do Not have a chip in the key. However, the security chip. the Dealer tells me, is in the automatic door device I use to lock & unlock my doors. The device simply has an Lock/Unlock button & a Panic button on it. Is this true or have you heard of anything like this before?
Thank you for any help
