Default 4WD inop

Vehicle: 01 Durango SLT 4.7 167k

Yesterday after replacing the front driveshaft took the truck went out or a drive to test out the 4wd to make sure it still worked. Took it around the block a few times but didnt feel that it was going into 4hi or lo. Noticed the indicator lights werent coming on for any of the 3 settings. Ive checked the 20amp fuse under the hood and it is still good. Ive done some quick searches and seen people suggest the switch, TCCM, CTM, or the module on the TC itself for this issue.

Before I start swapping parts if there anything i should be checking?

Not sure about the electronics, but you shouldn't be driving in lock on dry pavement anyway, you'll break something if you do.

Around the block is less than a half mile. It was a lot of stop and go to see if it was engauging or not but wasn't.

It breaks in 5' if the situation is right, and it gets right really quick on pavement. You can test it on pavement if you know what you are doing, but just coasting at 1 mph for 10'.

Regardless of what may or may not break something his 4wd still isn't working.

Other than checking your fuses and relays the only other way to troubleshoot the problem would be to break out the schematic and checking for shorts or a break in the circuit. Replacing parts until you fix the problem is for rookies Be a man and use your meter instead!

Double check to make sure you didn't miss a relay or fuse first.
