there is a hole on the back near the center for that metal rod to slide into and then two nubs in the dashboard that snap into the corresponding slots in the top of the handle, just PUSH, its tight but it will pop in.

what fell out?
the rod fits into the white piece, the 'leg' slides through the loop and the white sleeve snaps onto the long lead going into the dash(after sliding the rod through the hole pivot the white sleeve around it until it snaps onto the rod). and the two other pieces just snap onto the protruding rods.
