Cruise control activates the wipers!
ok, 99 Durango 5.2 140k and cruise control works but the wipers run the whole time it's engaged. Turn off cruise and the wipers stop (they work fine with the wiper control - delay / hi / lo work great).
Windshield washer does NOT work at all.
Creaking noise in column - so I replaced the clock spring. still have the noise and cruise activates and turns the wipers on.
Based on thread searches I'm going to pull the connector under the dash on the right of the column and check conditions of the connections.
Anything else people have run into?

Possibly the wiper/turn signal switch assembly is having an issue. Is the creaking noise brought up when turning the wheel? The horn, cruise control, airbag, and (if your truck has this) the radio control are the only circuits going through the clock spring, the wipers/turn signal does not, so I'd start looking to where the clock spring connects into the column and go from there. The first thing I would look at is the column switch cluster though.
Thanks Compact, yes - the creaking is only when turning the wheel (more of a groaning croak really). I'll dig under the dash and check the turn signal cluster wiring. (after I see if the washer pump is good)
