Power Steering Line Conundrum
I'm attempting to replace the high-pressure power steering line in my Durango. Here's the problem. The OEM line that I removed has the same diameter fitting in the pump as it does at the steering gear box. They're both 16mm! I must point out that they are slightly different with respect to shape and overall length.
The following parts were tried and didn't work.
EDELMANN 71817
DORMAN 9791004
Please help me do one of three things:
-- Identify a vendor who may carry a high-pressure power steering hose with these uncommon fittings.
-- Suggest an adapter setup that will allow me to mount a more common 18mm fitting to the 16mm gear box.
-- Suggest a custom hose vendor.
