Default Heater Core Shot

Heater core has been leaking for some time. I've got to get a few more weeks outta this Rango before I can give it the down time to replace it. Condensation on the windshield and driver/passenger windows is ridiculous. I can't remember where I read it but some time ago someone mentioned disconnecting the A/C somewhere to alleviate that condensation. Is this a quick temporary fix around, and if so, where do I make those disconnections?

Will the defroster still be functional?

Thanks folks!

AC dehumidifies. That's why the compressor will typically cycle on when you turn on defrost. Disconnecting it will probably make it worse.

you probably read about the heater core bypass, and this will eliminate heat in the front cabin, not good if you need to defrost the windows
